Ya verano

its absoultely *roasting* now in Girona. mid to high 30s. sizzling.

had an absolute duffer at the British Duathlon Champs, my most important race of the year. a purely make-up-the-numbers, non-competitive 11th place. Looking to build on my 7th from last year and even allowing for the quality field, the form i've been in and sessions i've been knocking out here in Girona should have assured a top 5. have an idea what was up and will make sure it doesn't happen again.

so anyway, the bike stayed in the bag for a full 7 days after returning from Luton. big deadlines at work, then got drunk at the weekend, including a trip to the Barcelona sonar festival. now ready to get back into it.

Better form from MACstrong biking chief Stuart MacGregor. After a solid finish to the Irish RÁS, he's romping away with the Scottish Division 1 RR series. A tidy bronze medal in the Scottish Criterium Champs yesterday sets hime up for a crack at the savage British RR Champs next week in York.

On the MACstrong tours front, we have 2 bikers from Colorado here this week - our first US clients! ¡Bienvenido! Places are also filling up fast for the Tour of Spain/Sant Celoni climb week in early September.

Hope your summers going smashingly.
